'Visit an Instagram photo or video page on your desktop web browser, you'll see a new share button on the right side of your photo (just under the comments button). Click the button to see the embed code. Copy the block of text it gives you and paste it into your website. When you hit publish, the photo or video will appear.' via instagram
Here's how I embedded my instagram photos here in a few easy steps!
I went to my IG page paperdollancestrywithlisa
Once at my instagram page paperdollancestrywithlisa
I decided on the photo to embed here in my journal and clicked on it to open the photo to the full view.
After my photo opened to the full view, I then clicked on the 3 dots in the upper right corner.
*see the 3 dots below
After clicking on the 3 dots a window opens like below. Click on Embed.
Once I clicked on Embed another window opened with the embed code. There are two options for embedding the photo. You can get the embed code with or without the caption. It automatically opens with the box checked for include caption.
Uncheck the box if you don't want to include the caption.
Click on Copy Embed Code and it will read Embed Code Copied. Don't forget to take a look at the Terms of Use. The terms are here too for your easy reference. Click on link in the green text. 'Click on By using this embed, you agree to Instagram's API Terms of Use.' Now that the code is copied, open your website or blog platform to embed the code. Note that the next steps are for Weebly users.
I'm using Weebly to customize all of my professional websites.
Paperdoll Journal is built using Weebly. The next steps are for embedding code into the Weebly platform from the blog editor. If you would like to try Weebly, use my referral link and you'll get 10% off when you subscribe to a paid plan. https://www.weebly.com/r/7RMAU2

A new box opens to customize the HTML. Click on Edit.
The box then opens with highlighted text. See below. Delete the text highlighted in blue.
The box is then empty. Paste the Instagram Embed Code.
After pasting the code it appears in the box. See below. Click on the box to close the Edit Custom HTML.
Now your instagram post will appear in your blog post. Below are examples of the code posted with and without the caption code. NOTE Look at the bottom of the post and you will see that someone can like and or make a comment on the post without leaving your blog or website!
