Paperdoll Journal Ancestry December 2018My Grandmother's GrandmotherMy entire life, the first 45 years, I asked my grandmother about her childhood before she passed away. She always had the same response, "Yes, Lisa. I remember my grandmother. When I was little and after she died, during the night I would see her ghost in her rocking chair. She would be in the corner of the ceiling. It was spooky because we lived in the country. It was dark but I could see her clearly. No, I wasn't afraid." One of the many stories she told me that inspire my genealogy research.
Sharing this story with my grandchildren, it will be a reminiscent over three generations since the 1930s. I believe, life and reason continues through our stories. ~ Lisa |
